I've created this blog because I was inspired by a twitter friend, Fred aka SmoothBiker, who had separate blogs for his ramblings and for his poetry. Since I love sharing my poems after I finish writing them, I figured, what the hey, why not create a separate blog for just my own poems?
My first post is not of one of my poems however, but of a poem that I came across a few years back that inspired to try to start writing poetry again, among other things in my life...
I'll be posting up some of my poetry in the next few days and hopefully I can get to writing some new ones soon!
"Don't Quit" by Jill Wolf
Don't quit when the tide is lowest,
For it's just about to turn;
Don't quit over doubts and questions,
For there is something you may learn.
Don't quit when the night is darkest,
For it's just a while 'til dawn;
Don't quit when you've run the farthest,
For the race is almost won.
Don't quit when the hill is steepest,
For your goal is almost nigh;
Don't quit, for you're not a failure,
Until you fail to try.
