"Confused"

I had some thoughts written down after a break-up last year. I came up with this poem after re-reading those thoughts the other day.

I don't understand
why you did what you did.
How can you love someone,
yet be so very cold?
You act as if
I never existed.
I lost count
with all the lies you told.

I deserve better,
I thought you were different.
It didn't take long
for your true colors to shine.
Thought you were an angel
from Heaven sent.
Now I realize
it was just all in my mind...
